In perhaps the most well known interdiction in the public eye, Britney Spears' dad may relenquish control of her estate as an early wedding gift.
An interdiction, or conservatorship as it is known in Brittney's home state, is a legal process where one person is either unable or, in Brittney's case, unfit to handle certain aspects of their life. They require the assistance of another person to properly manage their finances, health care, etc.
The interesting about this legal proceeding in Louisiana is that the process does not usually automatically terminate. It requires the courts to determine that the interdict no longer requires the assistance of their curator.
